About Woodcocks of Blyth

Woodcocks of Blyth is one of the oldest family run businesses in the North East of England having been established in 1896 by Henry Woodcock, the Great Grandfather of one of the present Directors, Ron Woodcock.

Now in the fourth generation of the company, Ron, together with his cousin, Peter Dodds are the current working Directors. Together, they have over 50 years experience in the soft furnishing business.

The store has progressed from being a local drapers and haberdashery to being known countywide as one of the foremost suppliers of quality home furnishings.

Under the leadership of Ron and Peter the company is keeping up the with current trends by constantly reviewing and changing, if necessary, the goods on sale in the store. While retaining its high profile in the curtain and soft furnishing areas, our regular customers will have noticed the change in the lower end of the shop. We now offer a range of popular contempory pictures in a variety of styles.

Although most of the staff are part time, the majority have been working in the store between ten and twenty years. This lends a great amount of experience to the store and we have a wonderful personal connection to our regular customers.

As ever we constantly strive to give our customers what they want and are more than happy to listen to what they say.
